hi guys im wondering if this problem is to do with jetting or the fuel mixture.

i put a full tank of premix in my tank and went out 4 weeks ago. i was only out for like a hour but i was only riding for like 40 minutes of that and my tank ran near enough empty. my mate runs 25:1 and he told me to as well and i have but my one is burning it quick we are using same 2 stroke oil and unleaded petrol.

Is your float bouncing around while riding, causing the fuel to flow out of the vent line and acts normal while at low speeds or sitting?
Is the carb bowl screws loose?
Is there a hole in the tank?
Is the fuel petcock leaking?
Is there a hole in the fuel line?

A tank will last us about 3 to 4 hours while trail riding.

no holes in tank
carb bowl screws are fine
petcock fine
fuel line was replacing before i went out so it will be fine
how do i check the float bouncing thing as iv never heard of it lol

Just a guess....perhaps your float level is a bit high and the excess is flowing out the over flow?
You could route the over flow to come out by the shifter side of the case to physically watch it while riding and see what you see...

is that 3-4 hours with one of they hemi heads? just i rode quad last year for like 3 hours and i still had like more than a half tank with the stock head?

Thats with the same "Hemi" head your running + my "Aggresive Desert" porting + matched tranfers + Uni filter + perfect jetting in a stock Mikuni VM26 carb + DMC "alien" pipe and silencer + 200lb rider using 93 octane unleaded pump gas.

I beleive your leaking fuel, but I could be wrong.

Something else to consider....

How long a tank of fuel lasts will be determined on how your riding the blaster...

Riding "On the jet",or riding "on the needle".

If your riding "On the jet",that refers to you riding full throttle almost all the time. In other words, the needle is no where near or in side the main jet to restrict fuel flow. In other words, your "Proceding to get it on".

If your riding "On the needle", that refers to riding at part throttle most of the time. Somewhere in the 1/3 to 1/2 throttle range. This places the needle within,or inside the main jet, restricting the fuel, giving you better fuel economy.

Trail riding uses a combination of both, but leaning more towards "on the needle".
Hope this helps.

ah yeah bud im running "on the jet" when i was out. my mate found a massive track today and its free so we are going to use that. i might be picking up another blaster as well for to steal parts for mine I:I

You're killing me Mg17, first ya build it, then want to sell, then part out, now keep, now buy another, LOL
:D  :D  :D

Obviously how you're riding is key. That new head must be putting a Bigger Better Smile on your face, hence you're "into" it more. I:I

cant fix a bouncing float, its normal, thats why the overflow tube is there

There is a built in mechanism in the needle which helps control float bounce.

If the plunger inside the needle is varnished up it will not allow the little spring to compress and decompress, and will allow the float to overcompensate.

Some backyarders crimp this system off to allow a more positive fuel shut off, but woe betide it if you ride bumpy terrain.
