Blaster brakes

Went and looked at a supposed 2004 Blaster to buy. It is a basket case and I am concerned because some parts seem to be missing and some things don't add up for the year it is supposed to be.

Anyway it has cable operated front brakes and had a hydraulic rotor on the rear. The caliper and brake lines are missing. What year could this thing be and is it probably a mix of different year parts? I assumed that 2003 and newer was hydraulic brakes front and rear. Is this a correct assumption?

Do the 02 and older have mechanical disk on the rear then? And are 03 and newer hydraulic all the way around?

yup 02 and older are all cable front and rear 03-06 are all hydro

Not buying it. Too many parts missing and engine is apart in a tote. Holding out for an 03 or newer. Looking for a basket case but not this one.
