Blaster bogs out

I have a stock 2000 Blaster that has not been started in a year. I drained the gas, took the carb off and completely cleaned it, reinstalled it and it started right up. But when trying to ride it, it bogs out and will not rev up. I discovered that if I take off the air filter lid it runs great, but if I put the lid back on it bogs out. I put a new air filter on, made sure the air tube to the air box and from the air box to the carb are not plugged up. Any ideas as to what could be causing this problem. Thanks in advance for any help!

thats ur engine not getting enough air, leave the lid off!

alot of people run without airbox lids.......i would suggest a k&n filter with a outerware to do that tho

yeah I have the K&N and dont use the air box lid and it runs great but I need to get an outerwear cover though the K&N gets dirty real quick especially in dust
