k heres my setup wiseco piston .020 over, uni filter, fmf pipe silencer, boyesan reeds. is it worth it to add a bigger carb or will it not be a noticable gain any help is appreciated

A 28mm would be good, but nothing more is needed for your blaster. They give better throttle response and just snappiness. Check ebay for some used ones

A bigger carb can help, too big and you'll have tuning issues. Too large of carb will cause you to run lean no matter what main jet you install because the intake velocity through the larger venturi will be too slow to draw fuel from the bowl. I would go no larger than a 30mm for your current setup. But to be honest your best bang for the buck at this point would be porting then a carb later when funds allow.

Right now, yes. If you get a port & polish from Wildcard then you will probably be ready for a bigger carb. PM wildcard, he will take care of you well. They do great work over there.

k i'm looking at the oko 30mm carb for under 100 what is a good jet to start off with with my mods ? also will it fitt the stock boots ?

and i'm waiting to find a head so my quad has no downtime to send out for porting wildcards prices are great but what size jet should i start off with with the 30 mm oko carb also i have twist throttle what cable will i need for that carb

I have to say that many people are worried on a too big carb with stock cylinder.. I have some modification to it and other mods, but i run a Keihin 34 PJ with GREAT results! I could definatly feel a lot more power with the 34 PJ and a Snyder Motorsport intake boot to support it....

However recently when i installed the Snyder intakeboot.. It is designed in a way so you cant have the "lid" on the V-force 3 .. so i removed it and it actually seemed like even more power! .. due to total non-restrictive intake..

lassek, what jetting did you end up with, i'm running almost the same exact set-up, except pro-design intake, and also had the same problem with the vf3's, and it gave me fits tuning, i had to turn the airscrew in tight for it to even rev, but i just cut that nozzle off the vf3's and port matched the hole to my intakes port, hopin that will make a difference, so final jetting on your bike would be a great starting point for me?????

not hi-jacking, posted to show what problems could be had going too big of a carb, like wildcard said!!!!

My final carb setting atm is:

Mainjet #150
Pilotjet #55
Airscrew 1 turn out i think..

IF your machine keep boggin... I would definatly check if the motor is getting enough fuel.. Could there be dirt in the tank ? a bad petcock ? Something in the fuelhose? ANYTHING that could make a poor flow would do that.. You could check by disconnecting the fuelhose from the carb and turn fuel on and see if the flow is great then connect it again..

Also what fuel u run on ?

put a 30 mm and a good pipe its worth it me and my buds blaster are the same except my rdz pipe and 35mm carb and top end i kill him like 10 lenths

hey guys i have a few questions about a bigger carb. i was wanting to get a bigger one and wanted to know if it would help at all, the motor has a 67.42 piston size, idk what bore that is, and a full dg exhaust and boyseen reeds with lid off and stock filter.

the blaster carbs are very restricted! enough so that a 80cc dirt bike carb can be an improvement.I ususally find good deals on used 125cc 2 stroke dirtbike carbs or even snowmobile carbs.larger Carb size is one of the determining factors on getting more top end power for sure but port work will determine what size carb is necessary. Who ever ports ur engine will give u an idea of what size u need.I would port it first then buy a carb.
