I was wondering when i will need to do a top end on my blaster. It was just broken in a few weeks ago, and ridden only a few times. How reliable will my 240 big bore be? My friend rebuilt his blaster, and a month later it blew up again. The guy i bought it from took it to a shop to get it bored out. How hard will it be to do a top end? I have done a top end on a 4 stroke.

If its built correctly and maintained with regular service, it'll last a long time. Rebuilding a top end on a 2 stroke is alot easier then a 4 stroke and its cheaper

btw i run 32:1 ratio and the jetting is perfect thanks

2strokes are so easy to work on... are you sure its a 240bb?? not just a bored cly with a .040 piston?

i think it is because i have ridden a stock one and mine is way faster. its faster than my dads 400ex

if you let them warm up, mix oil properly and change gear lube. they last a loooong time.
