Ok so last week went to go ride and nothing about my blaster felt right thought it just needed to warm up but let it run for a few then took off nothing hard or anything came out of a turn and boom loud back fire and lots if piston chatter. So my top end is gone already looked at the cylinder and it has to be bored out. My question is I'm looking at a 240 big bore kit if I bore it that much will I need a bigger carb?

Do you have a 240 bbk right now?

If you buy a bbk, you wont have to bore it until you wreck it again... And most people run larger carbs with bbk's

No I haven't ordered the kit yet I blew out stock bore. I know I can bore .10 over but if I'm already to the point of having to bore it why not the big bore go big or go home right? Lol just wondering if the stock carb rejetted could Handel it?

IMO the only time you should get a bbk is when your cylinder is bored to the max. I had a bb sleeve pressed in mine because I bought the bike on it's last bore. Sense I had to resleeve anyway I decided to get a 72mm sleeve pressed in.

I found a big bore sleeve and piston rings gaskets and all for 300, and I can get it pressed in for free. Is there some pice I'm missing to make up a 700 dollar diffrence?

I never said 1,000 dollars. My LA sleeve was $125 and my piston kit was $110. Then I had to pay to have it pressed in and ported. Total was around $600-
$700 I believe.
