Big bore kit 40 over question

Im thinking about getting the vittos 40 over big bore kit, how would that be on the oem rod and crank though? would it be ok to run the stock rod and crank or would they break over time?

Also why not just bore the oem jug over 40 and get an aftermarket piston? would ot make it too thin and cause overheating and cracking issues? thats what im guessing

For the people who have this kit...worth it?? substantial hp gains?

buying the vito's bbk and boring 40 over aren't the same thing. Stock crack will hold up fine with the big bore kit. If you buy the kit, you'll want to get it ported and add a bigger carb and pipe to get the most out of it

40 over is ok it is 67.00mm and you can go to 68.25 on stock blaster jug.a 240 vito's is a 240cc.

40 over is only a 201cc! vitos 240 kit is 232cc!!!

if it is a big bore thats .04 over, its basically done.

i somehow feel everyone is getting confused with the terms big bore, .40 over, and 240 big bore..

like someone said above.. 40 over IS NOT A 240 big bore kit.. the 240 refers to the displacement, the 40 over is referring to an oversize piston. You need to go a lot more than 40 over to get it up to 240 cc's of displacement.
