best way to check and make sure ball bearing is in clutch

Hmm, Best way.

I bet someone else will have a better tip than I can think off.

Most of the motors I recently rebuilt, the first, it did not have it and I didnt check 4 it, and I needed it. But after that. I checked everytime. but I just tilted it to its side, when I had the plate off and had my hand there, and it rolled out along with the long rod.


So I would gather in the frame, you might need to people, to do the same thing.

I tried blowing it out with air but that didn't work. Once I did the internal adjustment when I pulled the clutch the plates actually moved out but it would still turn over when rolled. Does that mean its definately in there?

well here is something that came to mind.


remove the clutch actuator on the left side, and try a small thin wire, that can bend and reach down farther to help push it out.

Didn't work... Ok so when I push the clutch lever as far forward as it will go, it still won't line up with the line on the case...

try sticking a vacuum pump on the end of it and sucking the ball out.

It sounds as if the ball either fell out and you didn't see it, or it's welded to the rod and bent and is stuck, if air won't push it out , and tipping the quad on it's side doesn't do it, and a wire and magnet doesnt work, and no other method is working, it's(the bottom end) is gonna need disassembled to get it out!
