best tire for mx racing

Maxxis RAZR is IMO better that ITP's holeshot tire. But I just recently found a better tire than the RAZR tire for cheaper. Artrax mxt-r tires are great for MX racing.
For MX racing only, the Duro tires like I have are good. Good straight line traction and good drifting in the corners with low risk of the tire biteing in and flipping you. Not the greatest for mixed surface. I find mine likes to slide to easy on grass.Does great on packed dirt.

two of my friends use the new hoosier knobbys and they love them but they wear fast cause there so soft
I use turf tamers their cheap and their just like the newer verson ones and work good. The ITP's are known for holding their box shape but wear out a tad faster. When used on anything else other than dirt or grass. But the Razors tend to have a slight bump in the middle which throws the box shape it has off so you have to get the tire pressure just right.
Ive had both the razrs and the holeshots, and to me the holeshots wear out wayyyy too quick on mixed substrate. I saw a guy commented on the Artrax tires, but we had a guys tire actually come apart (seperate) and disfigure badly. Id put my money on a set of 6ply Razrs if you dont mind the extra weight.
