My clutch is getting pretty tired so im looking into a new set of plates and springs, even a boss and/or basket depending on the state of mine. So has anybody got an after market clutch that they like or dislike? are there any brands i should stay away from? Or should i just grab a OEM replacement? Thanks guys

Bernett all I run when I need to change the clutch. Little more expensive. But I think it is worth it.

I have heard Tusk HD clutches are good for the price also.
I just recommend using 3 of the HD springs and 2 stock springs.

Barnett is probably the best.. But I am cheap and have had no problems with my tusk clutch kit... and I don't treat my blaster very well haha.

Also are you sure you clutch is worn out? Because my 250R just needed some adjusting. The blaster I knew needed a clutch because it was coming out in my tranny oil !

replaced the oil last week and its a new cable adjusted properly, im getting a full pull. it just dont grab very good any more. the damn thing is nine years old anyway! lol and i learned how to use a clutch on it.

The way I look at it is I have not had problems with any of my Tusk parts I have bought and they are much cheaper than the higher end parts. Could buy a few sets for the money of the more expensive stuff.

The HD springs definitely make a noticeable increase in the pull... lever snaps back harder LOL.

i still gotta put my new tusk kit in yet...interesting thing fioz...whats up with using 2 stock and 3 HD springs?

It makes the clutch easier to pull in. With all the HD springs it can get hard to pull after riding along time. I guess it really is a personal prefferance. I just like an easy use clutch lever.

cool, ill be getting a tusk clutch kit once i got the $ in my paypal, ill have to experiment with the spring thing...Hmmm. and ill pick up a magura hydro clutch soon after.

Seriously though... the stiffer springs definitely make my arm tired after riding hard for a bit. They are probably almost a 1/4" longer than the stock springs. You could always put the stock springs in with washers for just a little more tension.
