Best pipe for me

Best pipe

I'm also running a 240 bb, +3 crank, vf3 reeds and I really like my dyno port. My pipe is different from the normal stamped dyno ports though. Its a hand made cone pipe from dyno port.
If you plan on getting your cylinder ported, talk to the builder thats going to port it and ask them. You may have a pipe in mind and it could be the same as what there thinking or it could be something completely different

I had a handmade cone pipe from dynoport back in 95 on my KX125 as matter of fact they did my whole top end and the bike ripped!!!!!! Plus the pipe looks like a factory ride pipe awesome looking

I am wondering what y'all think the best pipe is for me. I have vitos 240 bb 3 mm crank vf3 reeds 34mm mikuni flatside timing plate and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I mostly use this bike at the dunes but sometimes do a little trail riding.

I would suggest this
1. Have the 3mm set up correct, by that no spacer plate and the cylinder head has to be redesigned. The cylinder ports cut correct. All the back flow angles changed, port timing correct and so on
2. Large carb lke a 36 to 40.5mm
3. V-force reeds
4. Vito pipe
If I was picked to do the work, you would have 45 to 50hp on pump gas easy with a wide TQ curve

im not running a spacer plate i had the case machined so i didnt have to

that a huge carb! i didnt realize i should run something like that

what would you charge to do the port work?

Kennedy sold me a Shearer for my son's blaster PB airbox, vforce 3, 30mm OKO and this thing is a monster. I think everyone is happy with their pipe if it's the only one they have tried. My son has several friends with very similar mods but have FMF, Toomey, and LRD. The Shearer is much more pipe for the money. Most of his buddies are going to switch to Shearer. I am not sure about heavily modded motors because none that I have been around are. One of my friends is building a blaster for his son, he is one of the best mechanics in NC as far as two strokes go and he is going with a Shearer. Thanks Kennedy for the advice, this thing is fantastic and has all the reliability of a stock quad. Here is a link to the pic. Not very good but you can get an idea. I will try to get a video tomorrow for you. As you can see we have a long way to go, but he has some nice mods so far. Still need rear hipers, nerfs, and Maier race fender.

The Shearer pipe is a killer small bore pipe for stock or modified blasters
The pipe has a very strong front side curve
Mat is testing new pipes for the blaster for BB cylinders and drag racers

F7 sounds mean, looks mean and performs. good price too. of all the people who run them ive not heard one complaint about them, thats why i chose one.
my second choice would prob be a dyno port, they seem to be good too, although i was tempted to buy a toomey. but i might do more extreme engine work next winter so the F7 is a better choice for my needs.
now ill be running, milled head, ported cylinder, 67mm bore, vforce 3, fully rebuilt with all bearing and seals replaced through out, brand new crank cases, vitos oil block, hot rods crank, outerwears lid, stock carb jetted ,vitos boost bottle.
next year im guna change the carb and airbox, adjustable timing plate, and probably get the cylinder redone as i realy fancy shipping it to flotek. choosing the F7 gives me the scope to go further when im ready or when my wallet allows me to lol.

get what ever pipe Kennedy pushes on you the most ! :o

heres my shearer after 2 months from new...

go fmf or toomey .. people say sh*t about fmf but its a great pipe .. so is toomey .. both have their pros and cons ..

there both good pipes but not for is application
the FMF is a low end pipe and drops right off after the mid range which is what you dont want in the dunes.
and the toomey is a mid range pipe but it doesnt respond to the heavy internal mods like a BBK, like some of the better pipes...
the B1 pipe on a blaster is best when your only doing mild mods to the motor.

i say paul turner high rev i have one on my arisal and absolutly love it the bottom aint extrewamly strong but tope end and mid is sweet and it seems like it would do good for dunes y doesnt any one talk about them

whats the big deal about what a couple people think about a particular pipe. you never pick anything based on what people say. you need hard facts, stats, and results and if thoes three dont suit what your trying to achive just find what does and be happy.

i posted this on another thread. holeshotman im not totally against you cause i know how it feels for sumthing to fail on me but damn sometimes you just gotta leave it alone. i personaly caint stand a toomey pipe for blasters but hey why hate? cause they'll still sell and still make money in the end, and people will still choose them and aint a damn thing we can do. all you can do is hope that more people have the same problems as you and then your point can be brought to justice. but till then all you have is an opinion and a pic of a busted silencer not sayin i dont believe you but it dosent hold much weight for many people.

shock hit the silencer?? you have that thing mounted inder the seat like a trx9? pipe??? never herd or sean that happen.. i see that happen then people fail a wheelie and flip over backwards..

anyways...

fmf isnt agood pipe for his set up, the fmf is a great trail pipe, as it gives power where you need it. low to mid... for your set up you need a pipe that works up top like everyone says... vito's f7 lrd power pros.. even a trinity will work great on that set up..

honestly for a lefty.. i like the vitos.. no expericance with it, just what i see online and read.. BUT its a good pipe....

honeslty left bend right bent no bend upsuidedown bend. it dont matter to me... im gonna switch to a right bend just for having the extra room for my knee when im sideways.. the right sider fits with my riding style
