I have an all stock blaster, I plan on dropping some money into it for some mods and upgrades. What are some good mods to get to make this thing a beast? I already plan on getting either toomey or dmc pips not sure which yet. What would be a good set up to wake this blaster up??!

Thanks for all the help I really appreciate it!

The choice of pipe should be based on where you want your power hit.

Toomey wi give you mid/highs

DMC will be awesome in the low /mids.

The next thing I would do to wake it up is a re chambered head after the pipe.

What other mods can you do to the head? And what would be my next move after those 2 you listed? Thanks!

Pipe - the choice is yours
Re-chamber head - there are variations of the type, but i think a KOR basic is plenty good, dont need no fancy hemi cut or whatev ($60 from KOR)
Lighten flywheel - as the title says. i forget what ken charges, but its for faster reving
Porting - this is where its at. lot of gain here. many different companies will do them ranging from about $150 to $300. KOR, Flotek, or REP (KOR is most common)

if you want power and want it usable, you will need better suspension

Shocks (front) - works, elkas, any name brand. it just depends on what you are willing to pay. used works for under $300, new elkas $1000 or more
Shocks (rear) - 400ex or 450r swaps easily. people say they are better, but i didnt like either. also same options as above.
Width (front) - best option, extended a-arms($300+). cheaper alternative, diamond j widening kit ($200) or stud spacers ($40)
Width (rear) - best option, extended axle. banshee axle is a good one. cheaper alternative, stud spacers

you may also want tires, but there are so many i wont even go there
turf tamers suck, and i like Tech4 STI tires. but thats my preference

Thanks a lot, this really helped me get a good idea

edit; You could also go a tad wider with 09+ yfz 450 hubs and also get the 4x115 bolt pattern to help run 9" rims which will open the door to more tire options.

:( Edit: I said 05 but it is 09 + that will get you a tad wider. My bad

I will definitely look into getting the 9 inch rims and the bolt pattern when it's time. Thanks man
