best exhaust?

theres no real best exhaust out there, tons you can choose from. Best you can do is research the pipe as best as you can only problem is there isn't to many reviews and vids out there detailing pipes its pretty much guess and go.
What style riding do you do? for trails i would guess a shearer pipe or fmf fatty. For dunes LRD or Vitos Fat bastard pipe. For a little bit of everything F7

im pretty much going to be doing everything mainly racing but quite a bit o trail riding 2

i was wondering the same thing earlier. i got a fmf fatty pipe and fmf power core 2 silencer, but it had like 1 pound of rust come out of it and i dont feel like cleaning it. but i found a vitos fat bastard and i want it. but i dont have money yet.

like stated serach... read the pipe review thread in the engine section...

i can tell you this from personal experiance.... i did love my fmf fatty pipes... they worked greeat for what they are.. a trail/mx pipe.. low to mid... power come son low and hits hard but falls off in the mid/upper 7k rpm range..

i switched to a LRD and shortened the lrd silencer by 2 inches.... much stronger mid/ top pipe with the lrd, a k&n filter with stock carb, no air box lid, jetted rich.. i only lose to my buddys kawi 250 liquid cooeld 2 stroke blaster with 434mm carb, uni pod and cobra pipe by about 2 quad lenghts...

it all comes down to where you want your power... do you want it low? fmf/ shearer, do you want a strong mid,? or strong high...... also herdd dyno ports are good for all around.. as they have good low end and good power all threw the rainge

As you see the PIPE question is very controversial, and always will be. All depends on where you want your power, what kind of mods you have done or are planning to do, etc, etc, etc...

my Blaster came with the FMF fatty/powercore 2 setup, GREAT trail pipe, all the attributes described above, etc. After my mod list got longer I switched out to a TOOMEY B1 full kit, what a GREAT all around pipe, to say the least, tons of usable power everywhere.

As requested just read the pipe thread, do your research, there is plenty to read up on, especially here at our Forum.

I'm getting ready to sell my '03 Blaster...the immaculate Toomey B1 is coming off. I have no idea what a fewer than 10 times used pipe/silencer is worth but it sure made a big difference over stock. Looks wicked, sounds great too!!
I'm in San Diego if you're interested in it.
Once I figure out what it's worth, I'll post it in the "for sale" section. Don't let that stop you from making an offer or letting me know what it should go for though!! :)

Thanks, Jay.

Actually, I guess I need 300 (really, 300??) posts before I can sell my pipe here. I 'spect I'll have to list it on FeeBay since I have over 300 transactions there...
I have about 1000 on the Banshee forum I frequent. Do they count?? lol.

ill buy it from you i need a good pipe and silencer. ill give you 150 ahipped for it. get back to me send me a message and let me know what you think

Hi, i've got some sort of chart with differend exhaust pipes showing the Toomey B1 is one of the better ones:
