Bearing stuck!

Well my front wheel bearing broke,and the outer race is stuck inside my hub,with nothing to latch onto i cant get it out!

is it like welded in now or something?

ideas?

LOL if only..

tried that,it seems it welded itself somehow.

broke 3 flatheads and bent a punch tool

broke a chunk out my hub also

put it in the oven at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes/ half hour then try knocking it out before it cools... it should come out easy.

nah but i dont see how that would get it out.

metal expands when heated, heat a case like that and all the bearings that are pressed it will fall right out when you tap it.

Heat expands things, Different metals expand differently. Same reason rings on the piston are gaped, so they can expand or they seize the motor.

so if i heat the hub,the bearing race should come out?

i would put some heat on it like every one else is saying it will more than likely work.

goods ideas... heat it up and cool it's down. normally that's workin with almost all metals. avoid hammer!!! you'll scratch it's. Yamaha ATV Manuals
