Bearing carrier zerk?

Has anyone heard of or thought of putting a zerk on the blaster's bearing carrier? I recently rebuilt a rear end on one and I think its a weak design. I understand its stock and all and I am sure there are plenty of aftermarkets available. I'm not looking for a performance upgrade but I would think that packing that carrier full of grease sure wouldn't hurt even though it takes a sealed bearing. Making it more moisture friendly and make the task of disassembly that much easier. Any opinions? I think I'm gonna do it.

It can only help!! I haven't done a blaster one yet although I think I'm gonna rip mine apart soon, but aren't the bearings only sealed on one side??? Ones that I've dealt with in the past were only sealed on one side.

If you're putting a zerk in there, obviously you need to do it while it's apart. If you drilled a zerk hole in there with the bearings still in there then the metal shavings would get into the bearings and wear them out more quickly.

My new bearings were sealed on both sides too. Good call on doing it while it's apart too. Thanks for the feedback.

If they come with a seal, you just pic the seal out before you put it in. I did it and put a zerk in with no problem. Here is what is looks like,
