Banshee works shocks help needed.

Can anyone tell me if the springs and valving parts from a set of works banshee shocks will work on a stock banshee shocks?

no, you can't open the stock banshee shocks as far as i know.

I can get the old parts from a shock retune for$30.The guy had the shocks changed for 180/200 springs and valving to 250.

Im thinking just the springs will help inprove the shock even if I can't use the other parts.

I would have to buy them and have them shipped first to do that.It's not local.

if its the fronts the works springs are probably softer than the stock springs. for some reason yamaha springs there bikes for 572 pound gorrilas instead of 170 pound riders.

FWIW : I measured a works banshee spring stack against a stock blaster shock to the center of the preload settings. approx, stock = 8 3/8" works = 9 3/4" There's about 5/8" preload adjustment stock and about 1 1/4" works. These are just some rough numbers to give you an idea. These are assembled shocks, not loose springs.

A shock is all about the valving, good valving can help make up for bad springs. Good springs can do nothing for bad valving.
