so im thinking about getting a banshee soon, hope to find a all stock one and just get some pipes and a filter but other than that leaving it stock, btw is the main jet sizes the same as on a blaster ? its not fun to ride a extremely fast banshee on the trails when there fast all stock lol, anyways ive heard alot of people say that a thumb throttle on a shee is hard to push becuase its hooked to 2 carbs so i was thinking maybe get this http://shopping.yahoo.com/792068077...ender-yamaha-banshee-350-blaster-200-yfz-450/ or just get twister?

I run cascade billet extenders on all my blasters.I just like the longer lever and less reach.I don't think it will do much to loosen up the tension. I have heard multiple times that you can cut 1 ring off the stock carb springs on a banshee and it will make it alot easier to push.

I removed the throttle spring in the thumb throttle itself as well as i cut the springs a little in each carb and used an extended lever to make it nice and easy and it returned just fine.

wouldint that mess something up in the carb?

The spring is there so the slide makes a full return.Cutting a little off at a time will not hurt it. If you go to far you may need to get a new spring though, but thats your mistake.lol

Cutting any rings off of a spring will make it exert pressure sideways, unless you have the end reformed.

Not a smart idea.

Exerting pressure sideways makes little diferance when there is no place for the spring to move sideways in the carb. For being a not so smart idea its one of the most common banshee mods out there for this problem.

Spring wont move around but it will cause more pressure to be excerted to one side of the slide.

The slide in my way of thinking should be as free running as possible.

By shortening the spring less force will applied downwards and more force excerted sideward and may cause slide binding.
