ok so i have my 2-1 intake an a 38mm carb on my shee an has power pros exhaust an vitos reeds an she is bored to a 383 non stroker lol.

so anyways i took apart the carb to see what sizes jets i have cause its poping an pinging. runs fine at idle then just past 1/4 throttle falls on its face an dies out.

welll to find out i have a 230 main and a 22.5 pilot i believe is whhat it says

any ideas what sizes i should be at

forgot to mention im using an open kn cone filter right on the carb for now...

yea ive posted on another site but there everything seems like a joke lol..

i also forgot to mention its all under a load when it dies out otherwise when sitin in netrual its fine for revs

i dont thnk it is cause otherwise it would beable to just putts arund in 1st gear.. i had the idle set a lil high an when i pull in the clutch and put it in gear it jumps a lil then i give it some gas an let off the clutch then just let the idle push the quad at like 3 mph or so

what type of carb? i am assuming Mikuni carb. but a 230 sounds way to lean.
i am not too familar with those carbs, but i want to say you need to be around 350ish.

well ive been doin some lookin around an looks like i need to be somewhere around a 180 main an a 42 pilot. its a khien 38 air stryker. so it has more vacum then other carbs. so now im kinda lost on where to even start lol

oh then 230 is way to rich
i have the same carb, i have a 180 and 55 in there with the clip in the middle.

damnit sorry guys i just went an bought a bunch of jets an got home to find out that my carb isnt a air styker they sent me the wrong carb :( i got a 38mm mikuni or however u spell it flat side... ugh just wasted 40 bucks on jets an dont know where to even start now... im just so mad now. wasted 2 hrs of drive time an everthing i knew i should of taken my jets with me stupid me

so what to do now????

ok sounds good. hate to ask another question but i just dont wanna blow her up after all the money and time and blood spent on her but should i also get another needle like u guys where saying right away or not worry about it or?????

i still haven't even checked mine. it isn't a big deal but if you want the most you should change it. but the needle i said was for the pwk carb.

if you really want to get a jet kit with the right needle, get ahold of jeff at FAST racing.
