do banshee reeds fit a blaster???? also im confused a bit, when people say its bored .10 over what mm bore would that be? i need some clarification on that...
do you need the 0.10 over bore for a Blaster or Banshee ?
I do not know about the shee reeds , Well a 0.10 over bore is a 66.25 , mine is a 0.20 over and its 66.50 !
i thought blasters go from 57-68mm bore can someone explain the whole deal for me im confused now...
No its 66-68 !.......
Or wait for somebody that has a stock bore that needs a bore ! , then you can get it ported and head mod and be the same as an un ported La , From what i have heard !
Shee reeds dont fit.
.010" or .25mm is a single oversize. The stock blaster engine is 66.00mm and has 9 more lives in .010" (ten thousandths of an inch) or .25mm steps all the way up to 68.25mm. Wiseco is the only company I'm aware of that sells a 68.25mm or .090" oversize piston.
You have a few choices when it comes time that the last bore size is gone. You can either sleeve the cylinder back to 66mm, sleeve the cylinder to big bore, buy another cylinder in the hopes that it has more life, or buy a replacement big bore cylinder.
If you're only an occasional rider, the BIGGEST affect on engine life is regular maintenance. Keep your carburetor clean, leakdown test, plug chop, and jet accordingly. Twostroker99 is meticulous about his maintenance and he's on stock 66mm bore from 1999!
