i have the chance to guy a banshee motor is out of it. i looked it over and it seems complete the heads jugs and carbs are off the motor motor seemed tight and shifted. the frame is in full roller with nice plastics. tires OK. from that i seen there are 2 sets of carbs 2 sets of jugs. it has FMF fatty pipes and silencers. he is wanting 500 cash OR trade for a glock i have. i have about 350 in the glock. deal or no deal ?

first off. you got a pretty good deal on that glock for 350... and second does it come with the top end of the engine? either way thats not a bad deal

i live in florida 350-450 is about the price of a used glock depending on what generation it is. there are you complete top ends for the motor. one is all polished up. here is a pic of the bike i snapped off real quick. the seat cover is an old shirt or something i dont know what it looks like under it. the frame looks like its been cleaned down and painted with a texture type of paint pretty good job. it was all taken apart and done. i dont know the year or how to tell. the FMF pipes needs alittle cleaning but think they will clean right up.

the glock is not an issues i have 4 of them LOL. and its a glock 23 40cal. i dont really shoot 40 cal i like my 9mm glocks better so this is the step child of the bunch anyway being an off caliber that i dont really shoot. yes its complete with motor but i have to put it back together and dont really know why it was all taken apart. maybe just to clean up and paint n polish? seems to be all there. i dont know why the jugs and pistons are off the motor. they looked good from a glance. i know he painted and polished up the motor and frame. its not HIS bike its his brothers that went to jail for a while and told him to just get ride of this things for what he feels there worth and bank the money

sh*t id do it then, measure the sleeves on it and look over the motor see if the cranks have play and well for 500 the rolling frame alone is worth that with the plastics. does it have a title?

i just called to ask about a title that slipped my mind when i was there. i left him a message. as for the crank there is no play and the case looked good. there are 2 sets of cylinders and carbs. i think all the parts are there and a few extra.

I would not hessitate to buy it for more than that pistol is worth if the motor is complete. I could care less about a title as long as i have a bill of sale to prove ownership.

i pick it up tomorrow. i will look at it closer he said he has the title but its in his brothers name and his brother is in jail ? i know know how to work that out but there is a title there

well IF i do trade the gun i will need to see HIS id anyway. i will get a better look at the bike tomorrow. is there anything i should check for ? anything different then i would check on a blaster ? lol

i would look to make sure frame is not cracked or bent anywhere, normal sh*t, to me this sounds WAY too good to be true, but it is a hella deal not to check out and possibly do on that matter, make sure u have a lot of the motor parts as banshee motors get expensive,as i found a roller chassis and plastics for 500, but no motor, could not find a motor anywhere for less thank 2k around here. how disassembled is it?

engine lower end is together. the jugs, pistons, carbs and head is off. the jugs are all polished up and so is the head. he told me that he thought it needed a crank even know his brother told him it just had one installed. i checked it and the crank is good. he seen the side to side play and said he thought that was BAD NEWS. he was honest when he told me he has no idea about quads and that he has only had a few dirt bikes. i respect him for not trying to bull sh*t me. the motor is CLEAN and looks like it was just gone though or cleaned up better then i could ever have done. this guy is a friend of a friend. thats how i found out about it. i didnt see any cracks in the frame but like i said it has a fresh coat of crinkle or rino coat paint on it so its hard to tell. it looks like someone had way to much time on there hands and wanted to really clean her up and make her look new again. it looks like it was taken apart and painted not just taped off.

If you trade him a gun you need a separate release saying he's knowlingly taking possession of a firearm and if there are any legal problems, it's on him.

Catmech is right, you don't want the police showing up to your house asking why a convicted felon is in possession of your gun. At least if they do, you need something signed by him saying that you traded him the gun and he took possession of the gun during the transaction.

Just cover your ass, you don't want the police showing up to your house after the gun was used during a robbery and they trace it back to you.

Other than the obvious legal issues, I would probably trade the guy. The frame looks like it's in fair shape. As long as nothing huge is missing, the quad is worth the price of the glock.

lol i love you out of state guys. especially NY and CALI. gun laws are VERY different here in Florida. trust me i know how to cover my back with gun sales and trades here in Florida the rules are VERY relaxed here. being a collector this is not my first walk in the park. as long as they are over 18 (for privet sale 21 for FFL sales) have a valid Florida id and able to posses a firearm he is good to go BUT as my own rules dont trade or sell to anyone under 21 and they must have a carry permit this is MY rules.this being Florida everyone here has a permit to carry. this guy is 32 with military, state, and carry permit so i have that part already covered
