banshee converison

banshee spindles wont work, you have to modify your stock blaster ones, or get the newer style spindles. banshee spindles mount completley different than a blaster. and im glad someone corrected the a arm fitment, they do not fit. dual stroke is correct with what he listed as switching, except 1 thing. the voltage regulator is teh same also..otherwise thanks, and good job/info.

also, if you put shee front brakes on, you can possibly use the shee front hubs. the bolt pattern is the same as the blaster.....yamaha made a bunch of mistakes when building the blaster...they could have saved a bunch of money if they only used the same hubs, brakes, axle, carrier, etc. would have saved on production costs, and the blaster would still be way affordable, hell they could have even made it liquid cooled too i bet. just use the same radiator....just my $0.02

youi can put shee brakes on teh blaste spindles for teh drum brakes.. there used to be a forum that had a how to on doign this mod BUT.. it; been goe for years.. luckily i remember some of it.. i know thre is a spacer that needs to be made to keep teh hub away form the spindle body then teh caliper mounting brackets must be fabbed as well.. it's alot fo work BUT.. that was all bbefore 2003 when teh balster got hydro front brakes anyway.. banshee splindels WILL NOT WORK... balsters upper ball joint uses a "pinch bolt" on the top ball joint at the spindle. banshee have reg old tapered ball joints that fit into a machined taper in the spindle with a castle nut.. and since yamah made the ball joints so you cant; replace them.. no worky worky...

oh and about the misinformation thing.. misinformation is misinformation.. if your not sure either don't post about it at all OR state your not 100% sure.. forums aren't worth a f*ck if the information is wrong

Good info on the voltage regulator, that is new to me and good to know. However banshee spindles can work.

Banshee spindles can work,on a stock setup or with aftermarket a-arms such as burgard etc. Both my blasters run shee spindles and the shee front brake setup. One has burgard ext a-arms the other is the ex riders link and suprisingly it has held up very well.

u trust those 2 little bolts in that groove? and yes if you have aftermarket a arms you can use banshee spindles if you use the banshe style upper ball joint.. but for a stock blaster a arms i wouldn't trust the way with the 2 bolts into the grrve. that is dancing with the devil my friend....

agree....sorry, just looks unsafe. good idea, but i wouldnt trust it.

also, if somebody wanted to take the time to do it, you can make the banshee arms fit. the lower one with a bit of modding can work. the upper, however, needs A LOT of figuring. but after all that, it's not even worth it, so why bother. buy the right sh*t the first time......do it right, do it once!!!!!

that upper a arm isn't gonna fit even with modifying it... youi;ve told me that about 3 times in teh last couple days.. AIN:T GONNA WORK BRO!!

im not saying use the banshee upper. i told you the other day, youd have to build an upper. thats why its not worth it!!!!!
