I want to fit a stroker crank in my DT. The shaft is shorter on the tranny side
and one option would be to discard the balancer.
Here are my thoughs about that but since I never rode this kind of engine without the balancer, I'd like to get some wisedom from you
I'm more after peak HP than low torque figure but I don't want a peaky drag bike...
1-Obviously that gives a vibey engine: I already run a CR500 so I doubt a DT would be worst than the big beast!
2-Less torque effect: I expect the extra torque given by the stroker crank could compensate, at least partly, for this side effect.
3-Crankbearing life shortened: I don't mind to change bearings each season. 5000km would be OK for me.
On the plus side: high rate climbing engine, increased capacity, more hp.
What do you think about that?
