Went to the Badlands Offroad park in Attica, Indiana yesterday with a couple of friends. A z400, Warrior and my Blaster. 20 min in the Warrior popped its chain and put two nice holes in the casing. I had to tow him back with my Blaster. Wish I had gotten a pic of that. lol It was tons of fun and plenty muddy. Blaster was great, but I now have a list of things to change. Longer swingarm, hydro rear brake, a/m front shocks, new front tires. Those stock front shocks beat the crap out of me. But all in all a good day. I:I

This was when my blaster tried to flip over on me. The tires didn't turn me so it tried to climb the hill. lol

Looks like a cool place, but it sounds like you forgot to bring "mod bug" repellent, lol, those places are full of them! :D

So what did your buddy do after he busted the case? I have always wanted to go to the Badlands but I just never took the time.

We both offered to let him ride ours for a while but he declined. I kinda felt bad for him because he had just bought it. Apparently the previous owner forgot to mention that he had stripped out the bolts for the carrier and the nuts worked off both of them. So then the chain loosened and jumped off the front sprocket when he was trying to get out of that water/mud pit.

Did he just sit there while you two rode around? That sucks to go out and break down, especially when you first get a new "to you" quad. It also sucks to go through it and inspect it before you really ride it but its always the best idea.

Pretty much what I told him. I did a quick one over when we got there. Just to check brakes and stuff. But it wasn't really my job to do a full inspection. He was pretty pissed off at himself. Hopefully he'll learn from this.

How was it there? My friends and I was thinking about going and my friend wanted to take his DS450 to the MX track. Worth going? Last time I went a long time ago it was too muddy and too much truck traffic for my tastes. They rutted the hell out of the place and you could hardly trail ride anywhere, but that was a LONG time ago and even before I had my Blaster.

I've never been on the mx track. More of a trail guy myself. It was very muddy in some places, but that's where the fun is. I've also never been there in the real busy season so I don't know how packed it gets then.

if you want trails and a MX track, look at haspin, they have a small MX track and a decent size one. plus lots of trails. and it is closer than badlands.

also cole, i heard badlands was sandy, where is the sand in your pictures.

They have a large sand area, but I usually stay with the trails and woods. Next time I go I'll try to get some pics of the different terrains they have there.

oh ok, the way people were talking it was like there was a layer of sand on the trails and sh*t.
i will be going there some time this year hopefully.
