Just got done replacing carrier bearings and took her out for a spin. Runs fine, idles fine but when it should be hitting powerband it revs higher, kinda like hittin an ice patch on a road. Could it be my clutches going bad or blow by on piston? Trying to figure out where to start.

sounds like the clutch slipping to me.
when's the last time the trans oil was changed ?

Actually got new oil saturday to change it but got into the carrier bearings, sprockets and chain instead. Planned on changing it tomm actually. Been few months

sometimes an oil change may get you by for a little while longer, but if it's slipping, it's soon time for a new one.
i run a tusk in the black bike, and driveline performance 240 hd in my white bike.
the tusk seems to be a decent clutch for a stockish powered bike
the driveline is the best clutch made, IMO,
for 1/2 the money of a barnett.
both can be found on ebay.

Thank ya awk. Ill look into the driveline performance.

they come in a regular HD, and big bore HD.
the regular will be good for any stockish cylinder blasters
the big bore hd for heavily ported and 240 cylinders

both include non dimpled steels, heavier springs and the extra fiber to replace the 1/2 fiber/wave ring found in stock, and other replacement clutches

Hey awk. Got my clutches in today and got em soaking till tomm. When I go to do the internal adjustment do I unhook my clutch cable cable and what's the proper torque spec for springs.

Running like a champ. Thanks guys and to the ones who had write ups on the actual internal adjustments. Time to shred some trails

sweet !
