The b9es is a colder range plug, it conducts more heat from the combustion chamber into the head.
As it runs cooler, it may not get hot enough to self clean and is more likely to foul with oil.
Some people are under the impression that when they check the plug and it looks somewhat burnt, that they need a colder plug.
There lays an underlaying problem, it is not the plug that is at fault, it is possible that the mix is lean creating excessive heat.
