We bought this blaster that needs alot of work. Im new to blasters and yamahas. Anyways.

It didnt have any brakes on the rear and the rotor and hub just slides side to side. I think it may have a banshee axle with a blaster brake hub. Axle is 34 inces long.

How do i determine what axle it is?

Also it had 4/115 hubs and 9 inch rims. I bolted honda trx250r hubs to the axle.

if the hub slides side to side, its not a banshee axle for sure. they have a fixed hub setup.

was that measurement from hub flange to hub flange? if so then its stock length. my banshee one is around 37.5"

I dont think you read the post. No atv has a brake hub that moves side to side.

I think it may have a blaster hub on a banshee axle. I read on here when you install a banshee axle you have to use the banshee brake hub but i cant find anywhere where it states why.

If that is the situation i will put a banshee hub on it so i can install a caliper.

I will take a pic if my question is hard to understand.

post a pic. it if it doesnt have a brake caliper on it then its probably just a blaster axle with a blaster brake hub. the blaster used 2 rubber boots and the caliper to hold it in place. if it doesnt have the caliper than the hub will slide side to side.

Were talkin bout the disk hub right? Cause mine slides side to side, i think thats why them rubber boots are on the sides, to keep crap out yet when the pads wear the disc moves over a tad bit.

Ok. I understand now. Instead of the caliper having slides the rotor moves on the axle as the pads wear.

Never seen that before. Brandoz28 sorry. The axle is 34 inces from end to end.

This bike has been butchered, just trying to make it rideable. And somewhat reliable.

Sorry it took 3 people for me to understand. Im not used to the format of this forum. I cant find my way around it or find anything i search yet.

Im missing two rubber isolators other than the caliper.

I would be nice when people are trying to help or they will not help again.

there are a lot of great people on hear that are always willing to help and they are correct 99% of the time.

welcome to the blaster forum
