okay so iv done everything in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch_videos...,SBQfofIKpb4&type=1&feature=recentlik&index=4 ))) i know hes a pure redneck but this doesnt seem bad lol ! it seems that the disc (brake) is stopping it from moving out ! iv taken the lugg nuts off and hubs but cant get the disc as the allen screws are to tight and i took the little metal clips off the rubber! but why wont it slide over ?? thanks

Dude, the brake disk is held on with little c clamps to the hub. You have to loosen the 2 main nuts, remove the whole carrier from the quad, remove the brake disk, beat the axle carrier off, and the axle should come out.

Mines siezed on tho. Your brake carrier could be I guess.

Is the rubber still on there? Cause you should be able to pull the rubber off and the disk should be free to slide off.

Maybe try some liquid wrench, pb blaster, even wd40 if thats all you got. But no, the only thing keeping that entire hub on is friction and those clamps.

But phragle is right, you dont even have to remove the brake carrier to remove the axle. Youll have to pull it out if you need to change the whole axle tho.

umm no. and i hope that you arent criticizing rednecks? the simplest and best way to do it is to put it on its side and bang it with a sledge hammer until the mofo comes out.

i wanna too lol rickems kool aswell lol ....so how to geet these bearings out? i cant put it on its side as the axels off lol

i like rick. but he smokes to many things. haha
someone chime in and help this kid out with his problem.
i feel bad for clogging up his thread. sorry driftz

Dont bang on the threaded end like he did in the video. Youll flare it and never get your hub nut back on. Slide a socket over the splines or some pipe so it contacts the lip of the axle where the back of the hub rests.
