AXEL bearings are as tight as paris hiltons...

so how can i get them out ,sorry this is the 2nd thread but this one has the right name! so how can i get them out they just wont budge? thanks guys I:I

this title doesn't make any sense. if they was as tight as paris hilton's j j, they would just fall out.

but to get them out, take a metal rod, something that can fit through the carrier, place the edge of the rod on the lip of the bearings. then hit rod with hammer, make sure to move the rod around the bearing, dont want to keep hitting the same spot.

i put a but of alluminum over the bit that i had to tap to get the axel out and it damaged half of the first thread(the first ring of all the threads) should i try to force the bolt over or just cut it off as its a very small ammount !! i dont belong quads but you learn from your mistakes

you should just be able to thread the nut on. the first time i did the bearings i had to get a buddie to tack weld a aumotive puller to thet inner bearing race and nail it that way.

30lb sledge took care of mine of course i replaced the axle as i had to cut the spindle hub off as it was soo rusted that it actually rusted itself to the axle. I beleive the axle was never off the quad since new in '89. But it was a bear- took me a week to finally get it out. and a can of WD and PB.
