ATV Plow question!

Ok so NY has gotten hammered with snow this week, and mid storm (5 mins ago) my plow started acting up, it all of a sudden started to grind when raising and lowering and now it wont rise unless i hold the button in and pull it with my hand, it lowers fine, although still grinding, i have no idea wtf is wrong with it, no blown fuses, no lose connections. im at a dead end ! and this is on a 89 honda foreman. not 100% sure of plow name but can check if needed.!

Sounds like a winch problem not the plow. Most likely tore up the gears, some are rebuildable.

could also be the cable... using a plow tears up those cables.

sounds like the motor for the winch is crapping out.....it will lower fine from just the weight of it

Winch we just had that same problem on out 2000 sportsman got a new winch and it works like a champ.
