anyone use stock carb w 240 kit

I would think using a stock carb on a 240 is kind of defeating the purpose. Why not use a bigger carb something like 30 to 35 mm in my opinion your new 240 wont even wake up to a stock carb.
I think before anyone could tell you what size jets to run you need to list a few details like what pipe air cleaner set up and any porting info you may have.these things all determine jetting.

/\/\/\ thats if you can find jets big enuf to feed it without frying sh*t

but definately defeating the purpose, even adding a bigger carb to a completely stock cylinder wakes it up as the 26mm is too small for it to begin with

As of now I got sleeve and the jug nothing was milled yet. New to all this just trying to figure out the best route. I plan on using for trail riding. I want reliability. So after changing big bore top end alls I have todo is bigger carb and rejet. Anything else

You should be able to run a 33 to 35mm carb and be happy with the results. I would go with the 35mm airstriker from keihin if it were me, this would be enouph carb for future mods that you will probably end up doing. To answer your question yes install your topend and new carb with recomended jetting and check to see that everything is working together. search for the plug chopping thread and read up on it and also read up on carb jetting.

Dont forget to add a decent exhaust to the mix, adding a bigger carb and 240 kit without a nice pipe would be pretty pointless...

when I first got my quad I was running a stock carb with a vitos 240 hmmmm jets well the main was a 340 and the pilot was a 32.5 and it ran fine like that but you can definitely tell it wasn't what it should be ya know, now I got a keihin pwk 35 airstriker nag I got it from jetrus for less then $180 shipped that's the best deal I've found not even eBay has deals on new cabs like that,I recommend a new carb bud,at least a pwk28 and you can get them cheap alot of the 85cc race bikes have them or just get a oko there pretty cheap and work good.

Carb Parts Warehouse has large hex jets up to 720 :o If that isn't large enough you've got one hell of an air leak (or two) :D

.720 can I be cheap and use a straw lol . I was just trying to keep it basic. From the sounds of it I'm def gonna get a carb. Next question is about airbox can I keep it stick seeing I do am occasional mud bogging.

One free mod is to modify the stator plate to advance the ignition up to 4deg BTDC.
look for the instructions on how to do it on the site.

It is still a good idea to run it with the lid off due to inadequate airbox and intake design on the Blaster - it needs as much air as you can give it (especially with your planned mods)!
However if you're doing a lot of muddy/wet riding - perhaps get one of those Outerwears air box covers... that will at least provide you with a bit of protection, while still allowing the motor to breathe better

Which big bore are you getting? Where did you get piston? Either get an outerwear to go on filter, outerwear filter lid, or you can get the material in bulk and make your own outerwear lid.

I believe its stated to be an la sleeve big bore sleeve. I have read on the site some were about just drilling a few holes in the top of the air box for better air flow wouldnt this be sufficient for him?
