my first car was a 1969 elcamino SS396. i still have it.. it's been apart 9 years for a frame off resto.. when i got the car it had a oil burning worn out 327 in it. (396 had been pulled and traded years before) so we puled the 327 and tossed a 305 in it til i used that 327 and built myself a little 400hp RPM loving screamer.. thta was in it til i pulled the car apart in 2002 . it's high on my priority list to get working on it again.. this time it's getting a 550hp 427 i'll reuse teh built TH400 i had in it before and the bullshit highway gears in the 12 bolt are getting swapped for a posi unit and some 390 gears.. i'll grab a current pic and then take a pic of a pic of what the car looked like complete..
