Anybody running a oko 30mm need some help!

After replacing the clutch basket, Thanks Ian!, And being talked through the process of adjusting the clutch, Thanks Ken!, I am having the issue of my throttle cable coming unhooked in the carb. I thought I had this sucker beat but, alast it is pissing me off. Here's the problem it will work all the way to 1/4 throttle, if you go past that say up to half throttle it comes off the slide mechanism in the carb I cannot figure out why. The cable I am using is the Motion Pro that came with the carb and says it is for thumb or twist (universal). Could this be the cable causing me headaches? I cannot break this in with just 1/4 throttle. Help Please..... I beg of you! I need to ride this baby.

Ya the cable end goes through it and then into the slit.

A couple pics if ya have the same one let me know if I'm missin something. Notice how small the cable end is on the motion pro cable I think that may be the issue?!
This one is the carb cap that the cable goes through-

This is the cable end- not a great pics but it's tiny. About as thick as the lead in an unsharpened pencil.

This is the slide the first pictuure goes on to this piece and looks like the plastic is suppose to hold it on ther but isn't-

The tiny cutout where the needle sits is where the cable end is suppose to lock-

I have had that same carb and the cable end is small. I am cunfused by the first pic. How is the white plastic piece staying there? Is the spring behind it? The shallower end of the white piece goes toward the cap. After you hook the cable in the slide the white piece goes down and covers the cable end and you can see it covered from the slot on the side. And the white piece only goes in one way, if it's backwards it won't slide down all the way.

The spring is attached to it and it goes over the stem on the lid. It just keeps popping offX( at greater than 1/4 throttle. You have to put the cable on the plastic piece first it's not long enough to put it throught the spring and plastic piece then onto the slide.

You have to put the cable on the plastic piece first it's not long enough to put it throught the spring and plastic piece then onto the slide.

That's your problem. You have to put the cable through the cap, then the spring, then the white piece. After that compress the spring with the white piece so you can get enough cable to hook it on the slide. Then slide the white piece down inside and over the cable end. You might have to adjust the cap adjuster and up at the bars to make it as loose as possible.

You actually put the cable through the carb top, then slide the spring over it, pull the cable through that, compress the spring hold it in place with your left hand. Then slide the white cap onto the cable and its hanging loosely. Then slide the cable into the notch on the carb slide, use your finger to position it, then let the spring go and make sure the white piece is rotated properly.

If your white piece isnt screwed up and its working properly (the clip cap), and you install it properly, it will stay in place.

I can make a video for you on how to assemble it all properly if you really want me to.

I will try that. i just don't know if there is enough cable sticking out to do that but i will try it. I know it's got to be something i'm screwin up as many run this same setup.

Thank ya I'm gonna give this a go if i cant get it from above post. No vid- just a pic of how long your cable sticks out at the end may help shed some light.

This was definetly my problem. I did it last night and cycled the throttle 116 times no problems have some green!!- thanks-Bob

Mine doesnt have that little plastic piece...at least I do not remember that. My cable just had a large ball on the end that fit pretty well in the slide. Worked for about an hour of ride time so far.

That plastic piece that's in my first pic is what locks it to the slide, I had to disconnect the cable from thumb assembly and bam had plenty of cable to connect to slide! I happier than a monkey with a banana!!! On top of that Ken troubleshooted my clutch issue and that will be solved soon too!!! (fist pumps)!
