I recently purchased a 2006 Blaster for my wife for $1000, its was all stock. I am now starting to mod it up a little for her, DG pipe/silencer, IMS Front bumper, Moose Nerfs, Holeshot tires etc.Trying to get the most bang for the buck, but I have a couple questions.

What are the performance advantages of..

removing the TORS?

adding a reed spacer?

adding Vito's carbon flex reeds?

Adding a boost bottle?

Thanks...

removing the TORS?: removing the TORS will eliminate the possiblity of the pump going bad and causing the oil mixture to lean out and cause your motor to seize up...good idea to get rid of it soon.

adding a reed spacer?: depending on if you put the spacer between the jug and reed cage, or the reed cage and intake it just changes where the power band is from what ive heard (i use one just because i need the clearance for my 38mm carb and am running CR125-6 petal reed cage) probably not worth it otherwise.

adding Vito's carbon flex reeds?: throttle responce and durability.

Adding a boost bottle?: waste of money to be honest, i bought a banshee a while back that had one on it..does nothing.

get your wife a port job from one of the guys on this site..that will be your cheapest and best upgrade dollar for dollar.
hope that helped a little..good luck

the description of the Tors system is incorect. dont know were you got that from. the pump for the oil injection system is driven by the engine and is internal. tors is the Throttle overide system is exactly that. its the electrical safety that is on top of your carb, the big ugly box, that if it thinks the throttle is stuck in the WOT position or just stuck it cuts power to the blaster. the problem with it is its flawed and eventualy fails and screws up ignition or just plain cuts out ignition and many people have no idea whats causing there problem.

some have said removing tors gave them a noticable performance increase, i think its really just in there head seeing as it does nothing performance wise but i suggest you remove it for reliabilty reasons.

other than that conquest is right. get it ported if you want some real straight up power with no bs.

i would remove the oil injection fr sure. also reeds are a good upgrade witha new air filter. 30mm carb would be good to. if you lookign for "bolt ons" try the v-force 3 reeds.

Boost bottles do nothing. i have one just for looks. i didnt even drill a hole in my intake boot. i slid the hose over the top of the nipple.
