what should i do to make my quad a little more newer and mx style?
any ideas
heres what i already wanna do -- newer style hood sheet metal light, 5 in spacers front back, new handle bars,shock covers, new rear fenders what color?,new front tires?shorty clutch@brake handles, grab bar,bumper,
really need tips ideas
all the items obove give ideas of what type or brand i should get!

if you want REAL MX style.........................
aftermarket bumper
aftermarket front shocks
250r or 400ex rear shock
wider axle (banshee or aftermarket)
a arms (+3+1 or +5+1 for the ultimate)
BIG nerfs with heel guards built in (retrofitting ones from a rappy 660r or a banshee etc)
then race cut fenders, or a Maier race front end, or a taurus front from pb
beadlocks with 18x8x8 tires on the rear and 19or20x6x10 on the front (something like ITP quadcrosses or RAZR's)


that would about do it lol

i dont think it looks to bad as it is.....but i would paint your rims black, get some 18x10x8 rear tires,and a front bumper, and deffenatly change the rear plastic color. maybe change the hadguard color. the newer 03-06 hood wouldnt be a bad upgrade just put wire mesh where the headlight goes. just my 2 cents. and i like the handguards its a good touch, wish i had a set.

I believe that the 18" rears make a big difference in an MX type look

well lets see here is my bike and i did not think it was dressed up enough so i orderdnew monster energy grafics kit and seat cover,, shock covers to match new grips to match nerf bars hope that looks good supposed to be here tommarow ye haw lolo

well i dont really bang around on stuff alot and i way 100 pounds so i dont think ill be to hard on them lol

well i got black plastics so far and some reeds

but i think my plan is 18inch rear tires, maier race hood, just stud wheel spacers, and later on shearer pipe (dg blows) then porting and maybe vf3"s
but that would be it pretty much done so its not gonna be done to soon

if you ever ride any rough trails, you will hate having 18s.

if you do get the 18s i would like to some pics. i was thinking about them as well but wanted to see how they looked. like how much clearance i would still have.

you will have roughly an inch less of ground clearance.

ive rode trails all day long on 18's and i dont see the problem u think the 1 maybe 2 inches u get with 20's is gonna make u clear that rut any better i doubt it. 18's look better anyways imo

want pics? mine is pretty much a arms away from an mx setup, it sits a little high however

those are 18" holeshots on the back, and 20" ITP quadcross mx fronts

i'm setting mine up with mx in mind and just keep in mind, things get real expensive pretty quick. i too have been running 18's since i got the quad, and other than the fact that they are bald, i have never had any problems with them and i've been on a few pretty nasty trails
