Anti Virus 2010.

you actually did NOT state that in any of your previous posts, and you have no proof that there isnt one that will do that (i have not shown proof that there is one, but it is difficult to find a list of viruses that state if they install them self or not). To get rid of spyware is a little trickier than that, you have to delete out the cookies to get rid of those and adware actually installs itself on to the system, a browser reset wont fix that.

I am not a member of any blackhat hacker communities so i would not be able to link you to any malicious software, and i would not want to be held responsible for any damage to your computer or others. I will however encourage you to go out on the internet and go hunt one down yourself so you can see for yourself that they are in fact out there.

my proof that there is no viruses for mac is: when apple first came out with leopard, they did basically a contest that if someone could create a virus for there operating system they would pay them 25,000$ and the offer still stands today....

there were plenty of viruses for mac os 9 but not for leopard // snow leopard...

The First Mac OS X Virus? (A New OS X Trojan) [Updated] - Mac Rumors

there you go, there's a trojan for your precious leopard OS. Malicious software can be made for any operating system if the creator wants to spend the time making it, Apple is quick on their patches so any virus that is made for the Mac os is usually put down before it becomes a problem.

Any operating system can be a fortress if the user is smart enough to know what not to do and has a good AV program

theres 3 things to avoid a virus. one protection... just kidding.. dont open pop ups, fwds from people you dont know, and porn. i tried norton and then i was told that mcafee was best so im using mcafee but in my opinion mcafee sucks. i always run a scan and then later that day or another day it tells me my computer isnt protected. so wtf. and even tho theres nothing wrong with them, but i would never own a mac and every computer can get a virus. its like condoms, you can wear em but theres always that chance

That sucks, norton and mcafee are the worst to have. I use Avast antivirus, there's a free version and a paid version. never had a problem, The paid version is what I have it's $50 a year, this is what all the Hospitals run in Pittsburgh, and has worked for me for 2 years now. I was told it's also used by military but don't know for sure.

with the progs i listed above, threatfire, winpatrol, and spybot, i have successfully filled a 60 gig spare harddrive with music and porn,
all downloaded from the viris/trojan filled limewire p2p network

You dirty old man!

previous years are horrid though (resource hogs, can physically take down your hard drive, and doesnt protect you from crap, same with the stuff direct from symantec).
We had this happen to our office computer, bought it brand new in late 08' then nov of 09' we renewed our norten and a few weeks later... boom dead hard drive.

I run a combo of avg free and malwarebytes on my comp and have been safe so far...
