hey guys, this is my cousins 2005 blaster, he decided it was due for some TLC. We decided to tackle it during our June university holidays.

The motor was in pretty bad shape-the bore was out of round and the ring gap was around 2mm! otherwise, the piston was not scored and the crank seals and bearings were still good. So we stuck in a Vertex 66.5, a set of Boyeson dual stages and a full FMF system as well as a serious port job with Auxillary boost ports and a 1mm base plate spacer.

Suspension saw the addition of a set of Works banshee shocks. would have liked to have extended the swingarm and added a 400ex shock but ran out of time for that!.

Rear axle carrier was shot as were the bearings there, so a rebuild was needed as well as resurfacing of the bearing seats on the axle.

Obviously everything was sandblasted and resprayed, all plastics were cleaned and prepped.

All in all, its turned out a nice package, very impressed with the works shock, they are very smooth, power hits hards and keeps going.

Hope you like!

put in a 300 main and dropped the clip one notch, feels a bit flat at the bottom, think its too rich, but maybe still too lean! have to fiddle on that to get it right.

What? No YFZ front end swap? I:I

Thanks guys!

haha nah, too much work! the back end is really letting the bike down with the front being nice and soft. 400ex shock needed!

first thing that hit me was the understeer and heavy feel of the steering, its got front spacers and guess ive gotten used to the light feel of the 450 setup!
