so today i installed my new clutch, tightened the spring bolts to the 4lb spec, i lined up the two dots, i pulled lever a few time to check that they spread out like they are supposed to so i thought everything was good......

i get on it and put it in gear, the wheels jump alittle like normal, but it slips alot, i rode it down the driveway and back, put it back on the table to fix it.....

whts wrong with it its driving me nuts?????

the 2 rods and ball are not welded together either

clutch i got:
Yamaha Blaster 1988 2006 Heavy Duty Clutch Kit | eBay

yep soaked oil plates, and the oil is same oil i used before when it was working great.

This slipping is the same as before i changed it, that's why i changed it cause the plates had almost new fiber left on them so i thought that what the problem was.

How long was it "working great" with that oil? I looked through Yamaha's literature and I couldn't find if their Yamalube watercraft oil is wet clutch safe.

alright..... i will be getting some new oil for it tomorrow.... is there any yamalube that i can use??

also.... i feel like an idiot now.... i adjusted the push rods the wrong way... so now i took it apart again and it works just fine,

my clutch had worked since i bought it last june till last week, on that oil...... but imma change it anyway.

maby i bought mine for $3 a quart because the person at the counter didnt know what he was doing so i bought like 8 or 9 quarts i think iv seen it at autozone
