airbox holes?

Here's what I have (besides no clue)...
-'96 Blaster.
-Bill's pipe and silencer.
-Stock everything else (as far as I can tell).

If I remove the airbox and install the bracket I welded up for the induction tube and a K&N, what size jet should I be looking for? I'm assuming that the previous owner did some jetting when he installed the pipe because the plug looks great so far.

What if I wanted to use the stock filter out in the open under there? Still no airbox, though. Don't worry about the jetting?
I hope I'm not asking too many questions that have already been asked... I'm kinda new to this.

you can run ur stock filter without a lid...will do a lil but not much...atleast buy a aftermarket one fer 10-20 bux...worth it...not as good as k&n but better then stock

One of the best ways I've seen (and i've done it too) is to take your lid and cut out the entire inside of it, leaving just a frame. Take a piece of hepa filter (blue on one side, light blue on the other. Has quite a few layers to it and is tightly laced together) and lay that over the box, then screw the frame back on. Make sure your screws go through part of the filter to hold it in place or else the suction will pull it in. Done some heave riding, muddy, wet and dusty and not one thing gets through the filter.

Here are some pics of my airbox lid and filter. It's not exactly a Hepa filter. I got this from a friend who welds and this is what is used to filter their air ducts.

You can see what the fibers of the filter are like in the picture i'm holding it up to the light. That dirt is actually from about 12-15 hours of riding (not all one day) through dirt, dust, water and mud. My airbox is as clean as the day I put the filter on and it sheds water unless submerged.

Honestly couldn't tell ya. Mine would not run right until I did that work to the air box, and I didn't know why. When I tore it down I found out I had a .60 bore and head milling done. No clue what reeds I have either, they look like cheap ones though. *Sigh, more work to be done*
