air leak

when I installed my new plug in my blaster and did a leak test and it was leaking out of the plug hole with the plug in it so I took it out and put my old one in it and it sealed it any ideas why it is leaking out of the plug hole with the new plug

The new plug I tried tighting up more but still wouldent seal up when I put the old plug in it I got it hand tight and and then about an 1/8 of a turn with the spark plug wrench and it seald up

Be spark plugs have crush washers on them. It will kinda feel like you are stripping it out when tightening.

well I had the newplug really tight and it still wouldent seal and my dad went out there and looked at the plugs and said they had different washers on them

I'm going to throw this out there, but it might be a bad plug. Might have slipped through quality control the day it was made. Stuff like that can happen.

Torque settings for a plug is 18 ft lbs.

If you have no torque wrench a new plug should be tightened between 1/4 to 1/2 a turn past finger tight.

If the new plug was tightened up more than half a turn past finger tight you may have destroyed the crush washer.

The mating surface must be cleaned before a new plug is inserted.

If the new plug was over tightened you may have damaged the threads in the head.

well I guess I had a bad plug but I now have another leak but it is in between the head and gasket

I tried using my old gasket and it leaked really bad so I bought a new one and it leakes in one or two places

It is more than likely that the head is now warped.

Lap the cylinder head, clean the top of the jug and fit a new gasket.
