air leak question?

okay well just got back from a ride and i have to stop at a road and make sure nothings coming. then i took off like id normally do it it boged out really bad and the enegine made this really loud ticking noises. i pulled the clutch in and it reved perfectly fine? i got it home and started investigating. i changed the plug and it still did it. then i noticed the top of the carb was loose!?!? could this be causing a air leakk?X(

sure could. but usually bogging is cause dirty carb, dirty plug, dirty air filter, running rich... when you have an air leak, it usually revs high. but do a leakdown test to be 100 percent sure.

thats what i thought. i tested it no leaks now, im taking the carb off and gonna clean it. will update soon

im sure that the loose cap is the problem, nothing terminal i hope!
