Hey guys, does anyone know where i can get an Air Box without having to buy new rear plastic? I have good rear plastics but the air box was cut out of it, and the airbox i have in the old plastic seems to not come out of it?

I saw a metal one on ebay for like $120 but there has got to be a cheaper option, i just got a new uni filter but i doubt i can run no air box on these bikes right?

you can run a pod filter......or the cw box on ebay is you only other option i think unless you have the skills to make one

Ill ask freek about his, $120 is too much for me right now.... If i run just a pod filter though, wouldnt that make it really really lean, even when i jet up plus id run the risk of stuff still getting into the motor wouldn't I?

Alot of guys run pod filters. But I think you should make a volocity tube from the carb to the airfilter. I dont recommend putting the airfilter right on the carb. The volocity tube helps smooth out the air flow, with the filter just on the carb the air is all scattered and coming from everywhere making it harder to jet. If you run a pod filter you should run a Uni two stage with outer wears. Just watch out for water that would be the only thing that could really get into the filter to the motor.

By velocity tube you mean the tube that came off of the original airbox? Or something different? Thanks!
And my uni-filter that i got off of ebay will work? Its the OEM style but 2 stage UNI

heres what mine looks like . its a uni pod 2 stage filter , the outerwears isn't on it in the pic . about the only thing that will pass through it is water . I typically ride in mostly dry conditions , so I'm not too worried about it. I suppose I could make a couple of splashguards for it , but so far i haven't had any problems .

I have the angled pod filter , I probably have the part number from uni written down , I'll post it here later today , I'll have to dig out the package it came from
