air box lid

my blasters power band wont kick in with the air box lid on but it does without im confused lol:-/

your power band is always there, the air box lid off will make it hit alittle harder then with it on

with the lid on it holds back when i take it off she goes lol but it sounds like the filter is flappin under my seat ??

no, but u need to put a smaller jet in for the less air ur taking in

no because it is rich now..... the worst it will do if foul ur spark plug......

if this 4 wheeler is new to you have u leak tested it??

because if u havent dont ride it, u could blow it up

if you have a air leak it will let more air into motor than u need/want, so it leans ur fuel mixture out creating more heat and wear on the motor enough heat in some case to melt the pistons right out

so if no leak test has been done DO NOT RIDE IT until leak test preformed and passed

O, great, three threads in less than an hour. First both of you need to slow down. He does not have an air leak, he may have to much fuel.

Let's start at the begining. OP did it suddenly start running bad or what was your reason for removing the air lid?
What ever reason you need to find out why it now runs better with lid off.
Is your air filter clean?

ANYTIME you change the amount of air into or out of the engine you must rejet. Even removing the snorkel is good for one size, lid 1 or 2, better filter 2 more good pipe = 8 -10 over stock.

AZ0121 needs to start reading/searching before just ripping stuff off.
