ahaha, ive been waiting for that porno. I called the guy who did the rebuild, and im taking it there tomorrow.
 
honestly... new clutch+ rebuilt added to like $550. Its balogna, at this point the quad should ride itself...but where would the fun in that be? plus i got ripped off on the quad in the first place, all adds up to be a 2 grand machine...
 
Idk....I didnt even think twice about getting the rebuild done....to me it was well worth the 950 i put into it...its faster....has better compression....and is pretty much a brand new engine....I got a stroker, new top end, full rebuild, weld clutch basket, new bearings and stuff....was there for like two months gettin worked on while i tore my blaster apart and fixed and painted it...looks cool now...with the 1500 i paid for it i got bout the same as u round 2500 or so by now....but like i said...its well worth it!!
 
first off its fixed free of charge =]. and i dont believe that putting any money in my quad was any more than a waste of money. I bought a running 1998 stock blater for 1300, first day out my kickstart fell off. fixed it than a week of riding after that, the clutch cable snapped. A week or two after that the whole clutch went, plus a spring in the case broke, so they had to split the cast to fix it....... all just to make it run like a stock blaster =[

im 15. taha. and i meant that all the money i put into my quad didnt make it go faster or perform better in any way, it was all just to keep it running. and i havnt seen it yet, the guy said it was done and was running fine. maybe he put a bigger main jet? im not sure
 
oh, and thankyou for all your help chris, it was really a lot of help, your blaster is really nice. I have no idea how rep points work, but if i did you would have one. haha
 
it was running lean and the knock you heard was detonation...

when you put a new top end in it you raised the compression to the point the low octane fuel you where using started igniting for the spark was fired

if it starts again run higher octane fuel

check the plug after a few rides and see what color it is, it may be running rich now
 
thats the answer i have been looking for for a month, i was always running regular with octane booster, but than i put a tank of premium w/o octane. thats the answer?
 
taha, no idea man, it was just slapping like a crazy biotch. It was running real choppy too, like it didnt have too much compression, i was going slow too. Your a helpful son of a biotch though <3
 
no, its good now. It couldnt really have been knocking cause it was warmed up and the rings were nice and fat when it started. your conclusion is the most plausibe, haha. Its running richer now and im loving it. thanks a lot.
 
just jetting issues, they said it was running rich, and that the knocking is normal. It still runs like sh*t and knocks. Whatever, the Blaster jetting is set up so you dont have to mess with it, but when i started running really high octane gas it was running fine, and when i stopped putting octane booster in it the knocking started.
 
Yea, just use higher octane gas! I agree with pportera on that one! I am also the one that has had some of the worst problems with his blaster these past few months though so i shouldnt be talkin i guess. :(
