ok im looking in the price rang of 900-1000$ to upgrade my motor i was just looking for someone to give me a list of things to do maybe bore it over or something????

on that budget i would do the flollowing.

Agressive Trail Port
30mm Carb
v-Force Reeds
Pipe (Toomy, LRD, Factory 7)
K&N or Uni Air Filter
Aluminum Air Box
4* Timing Advance

this will give you good power

if you want to spend another $500-700, you could add the 240 kit and a +3mm stroker crank.

this will give you mass power. hope this helps, and others ill give their ideas as well.

ide say get the 240 kit ported by kennedy for 480 rite now and then a 35mm air striker carb and some v force reeds and a fat bastard pipe. thats about 1000 bux and all u need. the plus 4 advance it free and get a 12 dollar front 14 tooth sprocket and ull be good to go.

and for a cheaper budget ide sya get an aggressive port on ur stock cylinder and a wiseco pro lite piston and have the head milled. then a 28 or 30mm carb and some reeds and a pipe. thats like 500 to 700 bux.

to get port work done and shipping back and forth plus the exchange it was about the same price for me to get the 240 kit with a agressive trail port and polish from kennedy_power
i also bought a set of boyessen pro series reeds that angus is going to port.
future plans are a fat bastard which is 315 alone.
that right there is easily 1000cdn i wish the dollar wasn't so sh*tty

regardless of budget, the 3 most important upgrades to the blaster are: pipe, porting, and head modification.
doesn't matter if you get the 240 kit or stick w/ the stock bore, you HAVE to get the right pipe and porting combo. and of course head work is integral to balancing out the port work.
a good cheapo mod is to remove the airbox lid and rejet the carb to accomodate the increased air flow. next up will be a good set of reeds and a better reedcage. i like the vforce3, but apparently, the vforce2 is better. my vforce3 is en route to angus kennedy right now to be ported to allow more flow. the reedcage also gives much better throttle response.
i highly recommend angus at kennedy_power for any kind of engine work. he's formally educated and has endless experience in the shop.
next you can upgrade the carb and think about stroking the crank.
and of course, the k&n or uni filter is critical.

in that case, you need a top end pipe and a drag port job. the reedcage is a must and a bigger carb. right off the bat, you can remove your airbox lid and rejet. that'll help you out.
then you gotta talk to the right guy about doin your machine work. i highly recommend kennedy_power. dude knows what he's doin! you need to match your port work to the pipe you want to run and make sure that everything works in harmony.
also, you can run bigger dia tires for more top speed (though that'll slow down your off-the-line) or run a smaller dia rear sprocket/larger dia front sprocket.

don't do a drag port if you ride trails i stay in cincy oh and pretty much do the same riding as u . i deff go with an aggressive trail port from flotek its like 150. or a ct 240 big bore, but when i first started building my std bore i got a fmf fatty and pro core silencer for 250 and vito's jet kit for 25 and took off my air box lid and uni filter for like 30. notice a nice change then i got a milled and re-chambered head off ebay for 50 and that made a hell of a difference flotek does heads for 40 . then i cracked a reed and put in a set of boyson pro serious reeds the cheep white plastic ones for 35. help out the response alot. last a 14tooth front sprocket help out a lot on the big end. everything besides the head i got right off the shelf . it would really hall some . i had turf tammers on it and most of the time id have to launch in 2nd to get it took hook up

if u want to spend a little xtra cash go to duncanracing. com they have all kinds of kits they come with the head piston gasket kits full pipe and every thing u need to give u more power
