advice on 250r shock

i found a good deal on a 250r shock from a 87 honda and i was wanting to know is it a direct swap or do i have to have some mods?

just a little drilling and you have to make bushings to keep it in place. its super easy. and from what i hear the best you can do besides aftermarket...

on mine, i just had to grind the bushing in the top of it and throw it on.

no, you dont have to drill or get any bushings. just grind off 1/8" off each side of the top of the shock and it will go right in. the bushings are for the 400ex shock.

do you mean 450R? if you mean dirtbike they tend to be waay too long and waay too soft

the 80cc dirtbike shocks are too long so a 450 shock would be way too long.

i didnt even have to grind anything off with my shock

neither did i, i just took of the bushings and just gently tapped it in there and its still doing just like its supposed to be doing
