I can't get it any bigger than this with out distortion. Damnn!

Just thought of something, Have you tried adjusting the top of the carb where the cable goes in?

Maybe you should get an exchange? I wished you lived close to me we could put mine in to see what up.

I can see reeds sticking, but too stiff, nah, Guys have used credit cards and have been able to run temporarily.

Update: I received the second carb on Friday. I pulled the jets out and put in the 45 and 155. The slide in it is a 4.5. I guess that the 6.0 is better. I slapped it on the bike. Started it and I had the same exact results. I thought to myself f**k it. Since it will idle if I hold the throttle a bit I'm going to fashion some kind of stop in the throttle housing. I pulled the cover and then I notice that tors switch. I pulled it out and wala it works. I didn't understand how the tors system works. I thought I eliminated it when I pulled the stock carb from the equation. So now I own two air strikers. However the first one only had two vents, the second had the quad vents. When I get the first one back from the seller I will be swapping out the slide and seeing what works best and then I will be selling a near new carb. No need for me to have two of them at $200 a piece.
So mystery solved and the atv trip is still on schedule for Nov 4th. I would like to thank all for there input. Especially Ken Occonors. He did not have to take my calls and listen to my concerns with the running problem. But he did and he did it gracefully and tactfully.
I would recommend Ken to anyone that wants a serious engine build. I've been a mechanic for 17 years and I know good work when I see it. Ken is above the bar with his customer service and quality of work.
I would like to extend a public thank you to him and to all who tried to help.
Trevor.

Hey Trevor,

The one you have without quad vents is not an air striker. Just a normal 35mm PWK. I think someone sold ya the wrong thing, I have researched this before i bought one myself, I'd try an get my $200 back as it was a mistake on the sellers part!

I'm sooo glad you got it going bro, I was really stumpped on this one!

Can never say enough about KOR! When ya got it you got it!

Good to know. I am getting the first one back and I will put that one back on and see how it performs compared to the pwk then. The pwk will have to do for the trip though. I don't foresee getting the air striker back in time. So now that know what would you guys run for jets? The weather is going to be from 30 lows and 50's highs where we are going. We are headed to spread eagle Wisconsin, route ole hwy 69 for a 3 day weekend. Bad weather or not I'm riding. I'm prepared this time. I will be riding it hard, keeping the r's high at 80% of my riding. I would rather have it a little rich and have peace of mind that it won't blow. Any suggestions?
How much should I have paid for the pwk?

Hey bud hopefully it's not too late here, Id start at 48 pilot, and 160 main. I believe that will leave ya rich, but will run.

As far as what the cost of a non 35mm about $170ish.

Take some pics of the ride! Have fun!- Bob

Any updates Trevor? How's it running? Idle adjusted correctly now?

I took it up north this past weekend for a 3 day ride. It ran good, however 4,5,6 the clutch was slipping. I installed tusk clutches in it the day we left and I adjusted the nut behind the plate up snug to the plate. Well that must of been to close, after the first day of ridding and trying to not push the clutch I had to pull the case cover off because it started to slip in 3rd. I was able to turn the nut 1 1/2 turns back in. That helped but it would still slip when I got on it. I also put the first carb back on it. That came back the day we left. That one had the 6.0 slide in it. I had a 48 pilot and a 160 main. That carb had better response and it didn't pop anymore like the quad vent carb with the 4.5 slide with a 45 pilot and a 155 main. The first day when we hit the old railroad tracks and I started getting up to over 60mph and held it there for a couple of minutes, the engine seized right up. I stopped and let it sit while the group caught up to me. By the time they caught up and it sat for a couple of mins. I kicked it and it started right back up. Well it did that 3 times during the weekend after I had in high gear and keep on the throttle for a short period of time. The last time it did it to me, it killed while moving. I downshifted into 3rd gear and popped the clutch. The tires slid on pavement. I let it sit and once again it fired. The only thing I can think is that the crank bearings are too tight and when they get warm they start slowing down the crank. I'm probably going to send the whole motor to Ken. I just want it to run 100%. It still blew away the other machines that we brought with.

i think your hot seizing the motor. its possible the rings werent gapped properly and when they get hot they expand and seize. or your just overheating the motor and causing it to seize. your either running it lean or clearances arent right... my opinion
