Before i start spending money on the blaster i wanna learn more about it. These might be very simple, but i dont know the answer. Here they are

1. We have a Honda Foreman. Its 5 forward, and 1 reverse gear. Its got the clutch in the shifter(cant think of the name for it). It cannot be stalled, but its fun to pop the clutch, although i dont do it much. But is the shifting on it the same as a blaster, except the hand clutch. Like every time i pull up, i go up a gear, every time i go down, it goes down a gear. I would say its that way, but i wanna be sure.

2. Whats the clutch basket? Ive heard of it, but i dont fully understand what it is.

3. How does the blaster perform off trail? We have a couple creeks outback, and im curious if i could ride em. It is a challenge on our Foreman, and its 4 wheel drive. So im thinking the blaster wont make it.

Pictures and diagrams will help a bunch. Thats all i can think of now, but i should have more questions later.

The gears are as follows. 1N23456. It is just a standard one down and five up system

2. Whats the clutch basket? Ive heard of it, but i dont fully understand what it is. The clutch basket or boss is the thing that holds all of your clutch disks together. It is located on the right side of the engine. you can see it when you remove the clutch cover on your engine.

So im thinking the blaster wont make it. The blaster does Ok in some off trail applications. remember that it is a racing quad not ment to do to much extreme stuff. You can cross creeks and such just at a low speed. remember that a 2 stroke does not have the power a 4 stroke does so it is difficult to keep the quad moving at a slow speed, especially through water. 2 strokes are usually all or nothing.

Hope I answered your questions. let me know if you need anyting else

Ok, thanks for the answers.

It helped, but i should fully understand it once i get the blaster running.

Also, how do they hold up to jumping and stuff? Im not planning on hitting big jumps, but im sure ill be jumping some stuff out in the woods.

Ok. Is it possible to brace it, or buy a new one? I would rather try to do it on my own, and save money. But i dont think i will be riding to hard to cause it to crack.

Just another quick question, how much would a good set of Banshee front shocks cost me? If these shocks are no good, i would rather spend some extra money and have a good suspension.

I have a couple new questions.

1. Can anybody tell me about this carb? Its a kehlin, and somebody said it might be a 34mm. It says for motorcycle race only. If you guys can tell me anything about it that would be great.

2. It has a Suzuki thumb throttle on it. Does anybody know why that might be on there? I found it odd, but there might be a reason.

There are some more pics in my thread under introductions.

blasters take jumps ok considering how crappy there shocks are ive heard that banshee shocks are a little better for the rear shock alot of people like to run the 400ex shock but we have a few people here who have the yfz450 shock and love it so yeah.

Ok, i might try and upgrade shocks depending on i like them.

But right now the hardest thing is finding a motor. Does anybody know of good sites to look for blaster motors? Ive searched Ebay and havent found anything cheap. Ive tried craigslist, but im not the best at using it.
