The work done to the bike is. Fresh rebuild bored .20 over with wiseco piston. Full fmf exhaust. K&n air filter lid not modified yet. Looking for a direction with carb work and reeds.

VF3 reeds are most popular. you really need port work and head rechambering, with about a 30mm carb. OKO makes a knock off of the kehin carbs, pretty nice. you will need a cap and cable with it.

Gee I sure hope you have not ridden it yet!

Dont forget to do heat cycles, and easy riding when you break it in.

When you re jet, do plug chops to be sure you have it right.

Haven't done any carb work yet. What size jets should I use if I also remove the lid?

What size main jet are you running?

You state that you have done no carb work, did you rejet for the FMF, if not you need to before you do damage.

You can gain some power with the FMF in the low/mid range, with a reed spacer block between the reeds and jug, and a +4deg timing mod.

So what I've gathered I should be running around a 290 jet and +4 the timing and remove the lid. What kind of power do you think I'll gain?
