ok i picked up a blaster a couple months ago and its not getting any spark, it has a new plug and new coil, the primary coil resistance is ok but im getting high resistance (13k.ohms) on the secondary side. is this exceptable resistance or is there another factor that im over looking.

I work on cars, these 4 wheelers are a pretty new thing to me:)

Did you remove the boot to test the coil? If not should.... Test directly to the wire itself.

primary resistance should be 1.44-1.76 ohms

Secondary should be 5.28k-7.92k ohms

So yeah sounds like your coil is bad if you tested .

well i retested the coil, this time without the boot on and it tested good so i started checking thhe magneto and found low resistance on the pulsar coil so im thinking thats my problem
