89 Blaster Rev Problem HELP!!!!!!!

it is on top of tors block.
big flat head screw

carb plus idle 1 1 1 big 1.jpg

Every time I turn it it wont do anything. Do you think I should take it apart to see if anythings broken?

you could remove the side plate to see whats goin on, most times the threads get stripped,
best to just get a motion pro tors eliminator cap/cable/idle screw.

Great, more money to spend lol. Ill look at it tomorrow. My neighbour and I looked at it and mad some adjustments and now its better. The only problem I have is it takes a long time to come back down to idle or wont at all.

Revs hanging is sign of an airleak. I'll tell you man my build was on a tight budget. Family of 5 and I don't make as much as I should or would like. I wanted to do just the minimum to get mine up and running. $3k later i have the piece of mind, and knowledge (from here), to know its gonna run good for a long time. As I think Blaasters sig used to say, Never enough money to do it right the first time, but always enough to rebuild, or something like that. I started on ebay and paid for most of mine through that, 90% of what I sold I had and didn't need/use or got from other people for free. It was a pita but paid for my build. It is always worth it to do things right the first time, or you pay for it later, or maybe sooner.

if airscrew is not set properly the idle wont work only to a certain point.
turning the idle to the left will decrease idle.
but by the sounds of it/you have a air leak or carb is outta whack

it is hanging cuz there is too much air in the mix/or not enough fuel:)

I didnt have time to fix it today but I dont have school tomorrow so im going to go out in the morning and seal the intake. That free one is not the one I need. The one I need is from the airbox to the carb.

Could my reeds be the problem? I took it apart and my reeds were pretty worn.

I sealed up the intake and it now runs idles!! I sometimes backfires while idling and sometimes stall. I think I need to adjust the carb. I took if for a quick rip and it spayed reved for a couple seconds when I got to my school but after that it was fine. It should be good to go by tomorrow. I also washed it so it looks a million times better. Also I washed it before the test drive and idle. There might have been some water that got into the fuel and thats why it backfired a couple times and died.
